Want to know a real delegate’s perspective on the YMA conference? Some of our past attendees shared their thoughts on YMA’s previous 2014 conference, “Breaking the Blueprint”, with us:
“The conference featured so many interactive components, which is what I remember the most. You aren’t just sitting in an auditorium all day, but there were different workshops, networking sessions, a case competition and even (my most memorable moment) a photo booth!”
– Emily Andrzejewska, BBA, 3rd Year
“A memorable moment from Breaking the Blueprint was when I won the Samsung Camera! During the conference, there was a social media campaign where we had to do a bunch of simple tasks creatively. I honestly thought I had no chance of winning but I tried to add something clever in every tweet, Instagram post and Facebook status that I submitted. It was so much fun since everyone (like everyone) around me was doing it too! When they called my name, I couldn’t believe that I won and I was happy that I did something I wouldn’t normally would do. I ‘broke’ out of my comfort zone and it landed me with a camera!”
– Julianne Lee, iBBA, 2nd Year
“Competing at the YMA Conference’s Colgate-Palmolive Case Competition was an amazing learning experience. It was incredibly fun to put myself in the shoes of a Brand Manager for a Colgate brand. Being able to present your recommendations to a panel of Brand Managers and Senior Brand Managers, and have your ideas taken seriously, is a great opportunity for any marketing student.”
– Mariam Ayyoob, BBA, 4th Year
YMA’s 2015 Annual Conference, ‘StorySelling: Creating Content to Compel’, will be packed with exciting keynote storytellers, workshops, networking opportunities and a case competition – best of all: it’s our first year off-campus! We all have stories to share, what’s yours’?
